These workshops are your chance to learn hard skills, build your resume, meet local students and get ‘certified’! Below are a list of workshops we’ll be hosting throughout the year to get you ready for your internship.
WordPress & SquareSpace - October 12th at 6 in the CIC
A necessity for any student working for a startup, creating their own blog or tinkering. The pro’s over at Scout, Northeastern’s Student-Led Design Firm are running this workshop and giving you the skills you need to build and maintain just about any website. They’ll also be teaching some basic HTML so you can do further customization as well.
INBOUND - November 18th
Many startups are moving toward HubSpot’s INBOUND marketing platform and knowing the in’s and out’s of the platform will make you even more attractive to hiring managers!
Though not one of the expected and necessary skills to have, being familiar with Adobe (whether it’s Photoshop, Illustrator or InDesign) will help you stand out of the crowd. You’ll be useful in creating marketing collateral, website updates and a general understanding of branding.
We know you hear it over and over again… but understanding Salesforce is essential. As the leading CRM used in business and is used across the board from startups to corporations. Learning the basics will give you a leg up on the competition and give you something to show off when you get to your internship!
